The 36-year-old emerged from defeat in the first set before winning in a three-set set of 19-21, 21-14, 21-14 on 25-year-old Indian player. It is Chong Wei's fifth win which is placed second in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 over Srikanth, which has been placed at the top of their six previous meetings.
