'7 days away' TMJ said.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim once again sparked a question with a recent posting on '7 days' again on his Facebook account, Johor Southern Tigers (JST) yesterday.
The statement made fans of Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) club and local football flood in the comments room with their respective bits.
Some think the '7 days' mean that it was a mere one-year period of Tunku Ismail being the FAM President after being appointed in the 53rd FAM Congress on March 25.
Some say, 'The other seven days' means the last day of the Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ) being the FAM president to fulfill his wish to resign.
Even if counting for the seven days is also the period of the Malaysian Football Confederation Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) in Johor Bahru on March 25.
In the NSTP SPORTS report today, the FMLLP Congress is said to be a decisive factor for Tunku Ismail's position whether to remain in the FAM or to continue its wish.
FAM deputy president Datuk Wira Yusoff Mahadi stated that the EEXCO FAM meeting and representatives of each of the League of Malaysian teams at the congress would be a field for them to express support for Tunku Ismail.
At the congress there will also be the election of the chairman of the FMLLP which Tunku Ismail now holds.
Whether Tunku Ismail wants to release FAM president and only focus on the duties of the FMLLP Chairman only in line with the objective of separation of the two organizations, it will be known on March 25.
