MUN YEE, NUR DHABITAH DID NOT EXPECT BRONZE.
Country jumpers Leong Mun Yee and Nur Dhabitah Sabri did not expect to win a medal in the 3m synchronous board simultaneously at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today.
According to Nur Dhabitah, he and his seniors are aware of the rivals they will face, and even participants from England, Canada and Australia are the ones who have always finished rivals on the podium in World Series matches.
The national pairing started well when picking up 46.80 points on the first and second jumps with 48.00 points before jumping to second place after collecting 69.30 points.

"I did not expect to be able to get a medal from the start of the event again, honestly, we are not aiming for the medals because it's a tough challenge." We went to the tournament ... World Series, on the podium they were always so we did not put direct expectations.
"Alhamdulillah, after that kind of blunder (mistake), and getting a medal, I'm very grateful. Indeed, this event I think it is hard to get a medal," he said.
Meanwhile, Mun Yee said he was satisfied with his performance and his partnership with Nur Dhabitah, which was merged only a few months ago.
"Actually, if it's a performance, Dhabitah is better at training than me, but I am happy with my performance. It is recognized that the weather is quite windy and that's why there are players who are affected by their performance," he said.
The gold medal was won by the landlady, Esther Qin-Georgia Sheehan who collected 284.10 points, followed by British parachutist Alicia Blagg-Katherine Torrance who collected 276.90 points.
